HSBC India appoints Gannesh Bharadhwaj as head, personal financial services

Gannesh Bharadhwaj HSBC India has roped in Gannesh Bharadhwaj as head of personal financial services, replacing Rajnish Bahl, who has taken over as regional head, distribution, Middle East and North Africa.

Bharadhwaj will be responsible for HSBC's premier and advance propositions, wealth management, liabilities, consumer assets and NRI businesses and the distribution network.

Part of the HSBC group since 2002, he was looking after the cards, mortgages and loans division of HSBC for the Asia Pacific region from Hong Kong.

Prior to this, Bharadhwaj was based in the US as the managing director of the prime cards business, where he handled the card portfolios for HSBC, Best Buy and General Motors. 

Bharadhwaj also has previous consulting experience as a principal in Booz Allen Hamilton's strategy practice.
