Al Jazeera to launch English edition from November 15

Arabic television news channel, Al Jazeera will launch its international edition in English from November 15.

Owned by the emir of Qatar, Al Jazeera International, has hired some top names from BBC, ITV, CNN, ABC and other broadcasters around the world.

Al Jazeera International plans to introduce extensive reporting from Africa, a continent that goes under reported by the older and better-known international news channels on account of financial constraints.

According to reports, the emir of Qatar has made substantial resources available to the channel, which could challenge conventional TV journalism.
