Vogue International, one of America's leading manufacturer of hair care and personal care products, is looking for buyers for its Organix Hair Care unit, in a deal that could be worth $800 million (€590 million) or more, Reuters yesterday reported, citing three sources familiar with the matter.

Vogue International had hired Goldman Sachs as adviser and  interested suitors had been asked to submit their first-round offer earlier in January, said the report.

The sources speculated that Organix Hair Care was likely to attract bids from French cosmetics giant L'Oreal, Unilever and Procter & Gamble, all of whom own hair care brands.

Based in Florida, Vogue's branded products include the FX line of hair styling products, Organix collection of shampoos, conditioners and styling items, and Organix Bath & Body Collection.

Vogue's brands are sold at the world's largest retailers, both in the US and globally in 27 foreign countries.

Organix Hair Care has a portfolio of over 70 products containing shampoos, conditioners and styling / treatment. The company that Organix products contain exotic active ingredients and are sulfate-free so as not to dry out the hair.
