Indian logistics major Gati Ltd has signed an initial agreement with China Railway Express International Logistics Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese logistics firm China Railway Express Co. Ltd.

Gati says this would enable importers and exporters to use the logistics and infrastructure facilities of the two companies in India and China for all types of cargo.

Gati expected to make $10 million in freight revenue from the tie-up in the first 12 months of operation, Agarwal said.

The two companies will begin test movement immediately, prior to offering regular shipments in March-April.
