Electronics industry leaders felicitated with EFY Awards

New Delhi: Leading corporates and individuals associated with the electronics and allied sectors were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to the industry at the inaugural EFY Awards. The awards were given out at EFY Awards Nite held at India Habitat Center, New Delhi on February 13, 2004.

Reliance Infocomm was named as the Electronic organisation of the Year. Mr. B. S. Sethia of Elin Electronics has been announced as the Electronic man of the year. The Lifetime achievement was conferred upon Mr. A. N. Ahuja of Ahuja Radios.

Dr. Balram Jhakar, Dr. GV Krishnamurthy - outgoing Election Commissioner, Mr. Bhishm Pratap Singh - eminent politician and former governor, CEOs and senior representatives from the industry attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramesh Chopra, M. D., EFY Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. said: "EFY Awards is an attempt to give recognition to the leading enterprises and individuals in the Indian electronics industry. Being the leading publication in the electronics industry, we have taken the initiative to identify the leading companies and individuals in the industry, with the inputs of the electronics fraternity." In publication since 1969, EFY is one of Asia's most popular magazines in the electronics sector.

The methodology and process of the award was designed by eTechnology Group@IMRB, IMRB International. The agency has immense experience in formulation of respectable awards in the industry viz., NASSCOM IT user award, PC Quest User Choice award, DQCI Channels Awards, etc.
