New Delhi: The Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Company has announced the restructuring plans for its Indian subsidiary, Coca-Cola India. The company has effected a top-level management recast and has split the bottling and marketing operations.

The soft drink major has appointed John Ustas, from Coke Norway, as CEO for its Indian company-owned bottling operations (COBOs). Ustas' appointment as CEO leaves Coke India president Sanjiv Gupta only with the concentrate business, franchisee bottlers and marketing operations.

Current recast within the Indiancompany includes reshuffling of portfolios within finance and bottling divisions. Coke's headquarters is expected to shortly announce appointment of a new CFO, to replace current CFO Mark Roddy who's tenure ends in September. The firm has announced appointment of Mark Hudden as VP, finance, of the bottling operations.

Vipul Saurabh, whom Ustas has replaced, will move to one of Coke's international bottling operations. Coca-Cola India's bottling operations are handled by its subsidiary, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. It has 24 company-owned and 26 franchisee-owned bottling plants.
