Bangalore-based Kavveri to supply base station equipment to Hutch, Idea

Bangalore: Kavveri Telecom Products Limited, a BSE listed company, received rate contracts from Hutch and Idea, to supply seeder cables, connectors and accessories for their base stations roll out for all their circles for the year 2007. Each of the orders are worth approximately Rs40 crore each.

Kavveri is looking at similar deals with other operators and is strengthening its manpower resources to cater to this additional business.

Shivakumar Reddy, managing director, Kavveri Telecom Products Ltd, said, "After the acquisition announcement of a North American technology company, Til-Tek (Canada), early this year, these contracts with Hutch and Idea have set us on a growth path which will see Kavveri as one of the most significant players in the telecom space. Synergizing the strengths of our North American arm and the Indian Operations would also enable us to bring excellent value to all our customers and investors."
