AI to double flights to Toronto

Air India is doubling its flights to Toronto from New Delhi from May 1. AI launched its flights to Toronto a year ago.

Air India will operate flights from Toronto to New Delhi on all days except Tuesday. The flight will have brief stops at Birmingham and Amritsar, Mr. P K Gupta, the regional director of Air India for the US and Canada said.

He was presenting to four Indo-Canadian travel agents who had generated more than a million dollar of business during 2004 and 2005. Gupta said Air India was planning to provide direct service from various North American cities to major Indian cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore , Hyderabad and Jammu during 2006 and 2007 to meet the demands of the Indo-Canadian community in North America.

He said the airline would be inducting 65 new extended range and long-range Boeing aircraft by the end of this year and early next year.
