LEX Nexus, restructured as a 'specialised shipping law firm'

Mumbai: Mumbai-based law firm Hathi & Partners today said that its specialised division LEX Nexus, has been restructured as a 'specialised shipping law firm', making it the only solicitor or law firm in the country specialising in shipping, maritime and admiralty work.

The firm established in 1998,  practiced as a maritime law firm, which later became a 'projects and shipping' law firm in December 2007,  before being further reconstituted as a 'specialised shipping law firm' in May 2008.

LEX Nexus, has eight partners, along with associates and support staff. Shrikant Hathi, a shipping and project specialist  and the managing partner of the firm has been practicing law in the Bombay High Court since 1992.

The firm deals with shipping litigation, arbitration, shipping projects and transactional work including corporate, commercial and other work pertaining to shipping industry.

LEX Nexus has offices in Mumbai and New Delhi, along with associate offices at major port cities in India and 40 offices globally in Europe, Middle East and Africa, the America and the Asia Pacific.
