Online real estate portal to host property show in Pune, after Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai

Pune: Makaan.com, one of India's popular real estate portals is organising a property show at Pune on 15 and 16 March 2008 at the Royal Western India Turf club, Solapur road.
Pune is experiencing a rapid growth in infrastructure development with major real estate activities over the last couple of years, driven by rapid urbanization, and its status as a preferred destination for IT and ITES companies, who find it convenient to hire students and graduates produced by the student city.
The property show has the participation of around 20 leading developers showcasing over 50 new project offerings to woo buyers. Properties worth Rs25 lakh to Rs200 lakh will be on display, ranging from plots, apartments, bungalows and villas.
A similar show has recently concluded at Hyderabad, which Makaan.com says was a huge success given the overwhelming response from the visitors. The Pune event is being promoted across media including the Internet, press and radio, and is likely to attract more than 5000 property seekers over the weekend. The portal had organized a similar show in Navi Mumbai a few weeks ago.
The portal has over 10,000 listed properties in Pune and the city also accounts for 12 per cent of total website traffic on the website.
