The CBI court has allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to quiz YS Jaganmohan Reddy, in Chanchalguda Central Jail for 14 days, in a disproportionate assets case.

The special court's permission yesterday to the ED to question Jagan, as he is popularly known, comes as another setback for the Andhra leader, with the agency set to question him.

The court, which on 2 July  reserved its orders on the ED plea has now permitted the central agency to question Jagan from 7 July  to 21 July.

The ED officials would question Jagan in the presence of his lawyer from 10 am to 5 pm on a daily basis.

The CBI court overruled the objections raised by Jagan to the ED petition. The MP has meanwhile, urged the court to dismiss the petition.

Jagan argued that he was no longer chairman or director of Jagati Publications, the investments into which are being probed by the ED.
