Japan's Ube group's machinery arms Ube Machinery Corp Ltd and Ube Techno Eng Co Ltd, have jointly established a local subsidiary in India - Ube Machinery India Private Limited.

Based in Gurgaon, Haryana, the new Indian subsidiary will commence operations this month.

Ube has until now serviced its users in India through Japan-based Ube Machinery and Ube Techno Eng, through local dealers in Delhi and Chennai.

With the launch of the local subsidiary, Ube will effectively strengthen its support framework for Japanese-affiliated and local companies alike.

The machinery business is one of Ube's core platform businesses, and Ube plans to strengthen its global capabilities and expand its services business in order to accommodate growing markets in Asian and other developing nations

Ube said that it would also strengthen future market development and sales efforts to accelerate Ube's machinery business in India, which the company considers as a key future market given the rate of economic growth in the nation in addition to its size and growth potential.
