Tata BlueScope Building Solutions, a division of Tata BlueScope Steel, has received the annual Essar Steel Infrastructure Excellence Award for 'Pre-Engineered Building Project'.
The division won the award for successful implementation of the east-west gas pipeline project of Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure (RGTIL). This challenging project involved design and erection of 122 Butler buildings that spanned across four states and was completed in a record time of approximately 280 days.
HG Chandrashekhar, vice president, Tata BlueScope Building Solutions, received the award from Rakesh Mehta, chief secretary, NCR, Delhi and professor KT Ravindran, head, urban design, School of Planning & Architecture, Delhi, at the award function organised in Delhi. The award was conferred on Tata BlueScope Building Solutions for successful execution of the challenging 'East West Gas Pipeline project' of Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Limited (RGTIL). This project involved supply of 16 types of Butler buildings spread across 32 location covering four states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The project starts from the Krishna Godavari Basin of Andhra Pradesh and ends at Bharuch in Gujarat.
