Bangalore-headquartered Hi-Tech Solutions today announced the launch of world's first electronic diary, eDiary that captures handwritten pages and stores the information digitally.

Priced in the mid-end cell phone range, eDiary comes in a smart, sleek notebook design, weighing only 40 grams, which makes it easier to carry around.

It comes with a standard B5-sized paper notebook fitted with a small base unit placed on the top-margin and a special electronic pen (e-Pen), which functions as any normal writing instrument with additional electronics that work with the base unit to capture the handwriting strokes.

The ePen also comes with a changeable refill.

The electronic diary can save up to 100 pages of written notes at a time, which can later be downloaded to a PC with the help of USB cable.

eDiary comes with an software application that allows one to organise notes and convert the handwritten notes to normal computer text. It also enables users to search files by name, date and even search a specific word within the notes.
