Bajaj Allianz Life posts Rs 3.67 crore surplus

Chennai: The Pune-based Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited has closed the first half of the current fiscal with a surplus of Rs 3.67 crore. During the period under review the company booked a total premium of Rs 250 crore with the new premium accounting for Rs 190 crore.

During the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Bajaj Allianz Life earned a total premium of Rs 59 crore (new business Rs 47 crore) and posted an accounting deficit of Rs 10.92 crore.

Commenting on the occasion Sam Ghosh, country manager, Allianz, and CEO, Bajaj Allianz Life said, "We are very proud to have achieved this result at Bajaj Allianz, which would have not been possible without the sustained and continuous efforts of our highly motivated teams."
