AMP Sanmar covers Bharti Cellular channel partners

Chennai: The city-based AMP Sanmar Life Insurance Company Limited will provide life insurance cover to Bharti Cellular Limited's nearly 10,000 channel partners. This is part of the distributor rewards programme that Bharti Cellular, mobile services operator in the Delhi circle, offers.
Says B Natraj, director and COO, AMP Sanmar, "Though in the retail life insurance segment we deliberately stayed focused in the South and West, we were convinced we can make headway in the group products segment in the Northern and Eastern region too."
The company has set up marketing teams in Delhi and Kolkata recently to target the corporates in these regions.
"We are optimistic that our Group Life Insurance products business will show good performance as awareness about this low cost life insurance cover is increasing and the possibilities of offering life cover to the multitude of organised groups are enormous."
