Birla MIP, Bond Plus dividends declared

Mumbai: Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd has declared monthly dividends in Birla MIP (an open-ended income scheme with no assured returns) and Birla Bond Plus (a short-term debt scheme).

Birla MIP scheme, under the monthly dividend plans A and B, has declared a dividend payment of 1 per cent (Re 0.100 per unit), while Birla Bond Plus, under its dividend plan A, has declared a dividend of 0.5 per cent (Re 0.05 per unit).

The record date for the dividend is 26 April 2002. All unit-holders under the monthly dividend plans A and B of Birla MIP and the dividend plan A of Birla Bond Plus as on the record date will be eligible for the dividend.

With an unbroken history of monthly payments since February 2001, Birla MIP has distributed a total dividend of Rs 1.113 per unit (11.13 per cent) under the monthly dividend plan A and a total payment of Rs 1.236 per unit (12.36 per cent) under the monthly payment plan B unit during the financial year 2001-02. Birla Bond Plus, launched in November 2002, has distributed a dividend of Re 0.20 per unit (2.0 per cent) till March 2002.

With assets under management in excess of Rs 4,400 crore, including two offshore schemes, spread across about 3.5 lakh committed investors, Birla Sun Life AMC has consistently endeavoured to provide investors with superior risk-adjusted returns in a family of funds, which include diversified and sector-specific equity schemes, balanced and monthly income funds and a wide range of debt and treasury products.
