State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur net up 32% to Rs 158.60 crore

Mumbai: State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur has recorded a 32-per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 158.60 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2002 as compared to Rs 120.43 crore in the corresponding period the previous year.

The total income of the bank increased to Rs 1,307 crore (Rs 1,197 crore). The net interest income for the same period has gone up to Rs 403.34 crore (Rs 361.88 crore). The capital adequacy ratio was at 13.42 per cent.

Total deposits and advances of the bank went up to Rs 12,587 crore and Rs 6,778 crore as on end-December 2002, says State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur managing director N K Puri.
