Mumbai: The mobile operator Hutchison Max Telecom Pvt Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank have launched their co-branded credit card: Orange Standard Chartered Visa Global Credit Card. Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, the brand ambassador for Visa, has formally launched the card. The card allows each organisation to dip into the others database while offering special discounts and fee waivers to both Orange and credit-card customers.

Says Orange vice-president (sales and marketing) Sanjiv Vohra: The card comes with a 2.3-per cent discount on the Orange bill, and allows Standard Chartered card redemption points to be set off against Orange bills. Orange officials say at least 10-to-15 per cent of Oranges subscriber-base is likely to take the offer of the card, which will be sold both through Orange channels as well as through the banks channels.
