SGV Bank bags Indian govt's all-round performance award

Hyderabad: SGV Bank, a rural development bank based in Uttar Pradesh, has been selected for the Government of India Trophy for the best all-round performance.

At the board meeting of National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks' Federation Ltd (NCARDBF) held here, the principal secretary, cooperatives, Andhra Pradesh, Bhale Rao, presented the awards to various state-level development banks (SLDBs).

Apart from the Best All Round Performance Trophy, SGV Bank has also bagged the Punjab Chief Minister''s Trophy for Best Recovery Performance and also the Venkataratnam Memorial Trophy for Best Bank in Category-I.

The Madhya Pradesh-based State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (SCARDB) was selected for the MN Nambiar Trophy for the Best Lending Performance and also the Udaybhansihji Memorial Trophy for the Best Bank in Category-II.

The SCARDBs of Punjab, Kerala and Haryana were also selected for performance awards in various other categories. NCARDBF has also felicitated one Ms Aswathi, who secured third rank in the all-India civil services examination 2002 with first rank among ladies.
