Manipal: The State Bank of India would soon enter into a tie-up with Bharti Airtel to enable money transaction from one account to another through mobile phone banking.

According to O P Bhatt, chairman, SBI, the bank plans to set up rural kiosk centres for financial inclusion of those who lacked any banking facility, for which it proposes to recruit about 3,000 to 5,000 people in the next financial year.

The bank was also planning to introduce "biometric cards", targeting illiterate sections of customers.
