Gopinath is new ED of RBI

Shyamala Gopinath has taken over as an executive director
of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
She will look after the Department of Banking Operations and Development, the Department of Banking Supervision and the Financial Institutions Division, said an RBI press release.
Prior
to this, Gopinath was on a two-year deputation with the
International Monetary Fund, the release added.
