Bank launches Quickremit

Mumbai:
HDFC Bank, has launched a unique online service, called
Quickremit, to enable NRIs in the US to send money to
their relatives in India from the comfort of their homes.
Quickremit,
available on HDFC bank's website, will allow its members
to avail of online money transfer from any bank account
in the US to an HDFC bank account in India, in just
four working days.
In
order to register for Quickremit, details of the sender's
bank in the U.S, along with details of the receiver's
account with the HDFC Bank in India, will have to be
provided and an online remittance order placed. Quickremit
will offer end-to-end tracking of money, along with
round-the-clock customer support.
Aditya
Puri, managing director, HDFC Bank, launching the service
said that Quickremit would enable HDFC Bank customers
to get money from the US "much faster through a
more secure medium and at a much lower cost."
The
technology, operations and 24-hour customer service
platform for Quickremit will be provided by Timesofmoney.com.,
a subsidiary of Indiatimes.com.
