Global Trust Bank eyes small businesses, launches Vyapaar

Hyderabad: Global Trust Bank (GTB) has announced the launch of Vyapaar, a special current account targeted at small businesses. The bank says the product is designed to meet the needs of retail outlets, distributions and clearing and forwarding agents.

According to GTB, a Vyapaar customer gets to remit up to Rs 2.5 crore per month absolutely free by way of demand drafts, payable at par cheques and anywhere funds transfer facilities, thus saving up to Rs 6 lakh per annum. Other facilities include cheque and cash deposits and withdrawal facilities from any of the bank's 102 branches across 33 cities in India.

GTB retail banking vice-president V A Varghese says: “Vyapaar has been developed after careful analysis of the needs of typical small businesses with a turnover of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh per year. Vyapaar meets all banking needs of the specific business segment and results in huge costs saving for the customer. We are hopeful of a very positive response.“
