Canara Bank in pact with Western Union

Kochi: Canara Bank has entered into a franchise agreement with Western Union Financial Services for money transfer facility. It enables instantaneous remittance of money from 197 countries to India by NRI's.

The service will be very much helpful to NRI's and their families in India as well as visiting foreign tourists and foreign students who are studying in India. K.R. Bhat, assistant general manager of the bank launched the scheme at a customer meet organised here.

He requested the customers to make use of the facility to the optimum level as this is a fast mode of remittance of funds from abroad. Senior officers in the bank explained the salient features of the scheme to the participants
