Maruti not to hike prices immediately

New Delhi: Maruti Udyog Limited says it has decided not to immediately increase prices of its models to recover the cess for higher education.

The hike in car prices, on account of the cess, will come into effect on March 15, 2007.

Speculation of duty cuts had led to consumers postponing their purchases till after the Budget.
