Raytheon ties up with four Indian aerospace and defence related companies

US defence major, Raytheon, is tying up with four Indian aerospace and defence related companies in a series of partnership agreements even as it positions itself strategically with regard to India''s 126-aircraft medium range multi role combat aircraft (MRCA) tender.
According to Raytheon, it has signed memoranda of understanding with four major Indian companies covering a range of capabilities across electronics, fabrication, software, environmental systems, electro-optics and other sectors.
The companies are Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing and Data Patterns (India).
Raytheon had signed a MoU with the Strategic Electronics Division of Tata Power earlier this year.
Wes Motooka, vice president, international, of Raytheon Space & Aviation said the company was also in discussion with another two Indian companies to form strategic alliances.
