Yamaha launches new sales and marketing company for India

New Delhi: Yamaha Motor India today announced that it has spun off its sales and marketing division to form Yamaha Motor India Sales (P) Ltd. The new entity will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co Ltd Japan and will focus on domestic sales, marketing and after-sales services.

To be headed by T Maeda as the new company's director for marketing, and assisted by Atul Gupta, head — sales and marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales (P) Ltd will commence operations from October 1, 2005.

Announcing the incorporation of the new company, Yamaha Motor India CEO and managing director H Yanagi said, "We plan to consolidate our position in India as it is a key market for us and we are bullish on it for growth. Integrating our sales and marketing operations in the new company will enhance our business activity in India."

Yamaha Motor India Pvt Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co Ltd Japan.
