Mumbai: Xerox India has set up an 'enterprise business group' to target the top 100 Indian enterprises. The group will operate in tandem with Xerox's three business groups — new office group, production systems group and Xerox global services, thereby further streamlining the company's business. Xerox has also announced the appointment of Ajay Khanna as head of the group in India.

The enterprise business group will act as a one point contact for all enterprise hardware and software requirements, including multi-functional devices, scanners, projectors, printers (monochrome and color), copiers, digital production equipment and document management solutions and services. The group will have a national presence at strategic locations.

"The new enterprise business group is recognition of the huge enterprise opportunity in India. This business group will serve as a platform to develop and strengthen Xerox's relationships with key Indian enterprises in high potential verticals such as BFSI, retail, hospitality, government, manufacturing amongst others," said Ajay Khanna.

"The year 2005 was a period of growth for Xerox India as we revamped our business model and successfully executed the two-tier distribution structure. The launch of enterprise business group is an effort to further strengthen our 'go to market' strategy as we continue to get closer to our customers and strengthen partnerships with the key system integrators (SI) across the country, " said Andrew Horne, managing director, Xerox India Limited.

Xerox India Ltd, a subsidiary of the Xerox Corporation of the US, is a leader in the document management market. Xerox India offers an array of innovative document solutions, services and systems — including color and black-and-white printers, digital multifunction devices and digital copiers — designed for offices and production-printing environments. It also offers associated supplies, software and support.

The company is working on a multi-channel segment / industry-wise coverage model based on market potential to reach more customers at lower costs. The company has received ISO 9002 certification, both for its manufacturing and customer service support operations, as well as ISO 14001 for complete environment management systems.
