Wipro Q4 net up 14 per cent at Rs1,375 crore; proposes 200 per cent dividend

Wipro Ltd, the country's third largest software exporter, has reported a 14 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit for fiscal fourth quarter (January-March 2011), at Rs1,375.4 crore ($309 million) against a net profit of Rs1,208.9 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Non-GAAP adjusted net income rose 13 per cent year-on-year to Rs1,368 crore ($307 million).

IT services revenues were up 20 per cent at Rs6,289 crore ($1,412 million) while IT services earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose 9 per cent to Rs1,388 crore ($312 million).

Operating income to revenue for IT services was 22.1 per cent for the quarter.

Wipro declared a final dividend of Rs4 ($0.091) per share/ADS, taking the total dividend declared during the year to Rs6 ($0.131) per share/ADS.

For the year ended 31 March 2011 Wipro reported an18.9 per cent increase in its IT services revenue, at $5,221 million. Total revenues rose 15 per cent to Rs31,099 crore ($6.98 billion).
