Videocon's DTH arm Bharat Business plans IPO

Bharat Business Channel Limited, the DTH arm of Videocon Group, has confirmed plans to enter the market with an initial public offer at an appropriate time, reports quoting its chairman said.

Videocon's DTHAs investor sentiment has improved tremendously and the company is waiting for an opportune time to enter the market, reports quoted Videocon group chairman Venugopal Dhoot as saying.

Videocon D2H offers a range of satellite products, including the world's first satellite DVD which plays DVD and is capable of receiving DTH signals.

Its DTH services are available through the satellite box and satellite DVD. Videocon D2H claims to be the largest DTH service provider in the country with a market share of 22 per cent.
 
Bharat Business Channel has introduced an exclusive music channel by launching active music space that offers 22 exclusive sub-channels designed to target customers' varying needs for music.

These include two exclusive audio-video and 20 audio channels, offering music of all the genres like Gurbani, Devotional, Hindi latest hits, Bhojpuri, DJ mix, Meditation, Urdu and others.

Videocon expects the demand for consumer appliances to improve with the changing consumer perceptions and market sentiment.
