TVS-E continues to dominate the DMP segment

Chennai: The city-based computer peripheral manufacturer, TVS Electronics Limited, has achieved a market share of 45 per cent in the Dot Matrix Printer (DMP) segment for the quarter of October to December 2003. The company has increased its market share by 10 per cent over the previous year.

According to S. Narendran, general manager, marketing, "The total market size of DMP in 2003 was 3.75 lakh units of which close to 1 lakh units were sold in the quarter of October to December 2003. The DMP segment in India is growing at an average of 14 per cent year on year".

The company ended 2003 with a growth of more than 40 per cent over 2002 in the DMP category.
