TVS Electronics launches black keyboard

Chennai: The Chennai-based computer peripheral manufacturer, TVS Electronics, has launched a new shade of TVS Gold keyboard. With black gaining the computer buyers'' fancy, the company has decided to bring out its TVS Gold keyboard in black.

With this launch TVS Electronics expects to strengthen its market share; the company has already sold more than 1.5 million TVS Gold keyboards. According to the company, the high quality mechanical switches have a five-fold longer life span than ordinary keyboard switches and ensure the least fatigue to the user. IDC estimates the market demand for keyboards in India in 2004 at 35,00,000 units. Out of this, the market for mechanical keyboards is approximately 14 per cent. TVS-E is the market leader in this segment with over an 50 per cent market share.
