TeamLease to employ 4,200 associates by 2004-end

Mumbai: Human Resource outsourcing services major TeamLease is expecting to increase the number of its associates to around 4,200 by the end of this year, which is slated to be in line with a expected growth of both Indian industry and outsourcing sector.

"Employee outsourcing, which is a new trend in India, is expected to post good growth this year," according to Ashok Reddy, managing director, TeamLease, who added that the company is planning to cash in on this emerging trend.

The company would add an additional 2,200 associates to its existing 2,000 associates this year, confirmed.

An associate is an employee on the rolls of an HR outsourcing firm, but is paid by the outsourcer depending on the contract or job entitled to. TeamLease provides temporary staffing support to clients, helping them to meet specific needs.
