TCS Q3 net vaults 23 % to Rs3,551 crore

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest software services exporter, today reported a 23-per cent year-on-year increase in its fiscal third quarter net profit, at Rs3,551 crore.

TCS said its net profit for the October-December 2012-13 quarter was also 1.1 per cent above that for the previous quarter.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs2,803 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal (2011-12).

Revenues rose 21.7 per cent to Rs16,070 crore in the third quarter of 2012-13, from Rs13,204 crore in the year-ago period, TCS said in a statement.

Revenues were also up 2.9 per cent in the October-December 2012-13 quarter from Rs15,620.8 crore in the previous quarter.

Dollar revenues were up 3.33 per cent at $2.95 billion compared to $2.85 billion during the comparable period of the previous year.
