Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has appointed Carol Wilson as the implementation director to head development and delivery services in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Wilson will be based in Munich, Germany.

Wilson was earlier with software giant SAP in Walldorf, Germany where she has served as global CIO for the last three years. She has also held CIO, consultancy and other senior positions with SGS, Accenture and Motorola.

"As TCS grows its business in Europe, in-depth experience with European IT markets and major software products will be critical, not only to develop and sustain our offerings in this market, but also accommodate the growth of our European organization," said N Chandrasekaran, global head of sales and operations. "Carol will be a great asset to TCS' business as well as its global brand and we're thrilled to have her on board," Chandrasekaran added.

Wilson is credited with having charted new ground with innovative resource deployment models, capitalising on the benefits of a newly-defined and implemented "off-shoring" initiative. While driving global IT for SAP, she was responsible for the implementation, support and operations of the entire range of applications, platforms and business process services.
