TCS quiz for school children on IT on 14 Sep

Kochi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will host the information technology quiz 'TCS quizIT.com — IT for Schools' for the third consecutive year on 14 September 2002.
A TCS communiqué said the programme, with a major thrust on IT, will help propagate IT application in many facets of life.
The quiz will mainly focus on areas such as advertising, business, books, banking, education, entertainment, multimedia, the Internet, World Wide Web, finance, sports, shopping, cinema and music.
The quiz will have a preliminary written round with 25 questions. The top six teams will qualify for the finals that comprise six rounds.
All the finalists will be given prizes, including cash, trophy, calculators, cameras, Encyclopaedia Britannica CDs and T-shirts.
The desirous schools can send multiple teams without any entry fee. The students from Stds 8 to 12 will be eligible to participate. Entries should be sent through schools on or before 10 September 2002.
