Tata Tele EBG expects Rs600 crore revenue in Year 1

Mumbai: The ''enterprises business group'' (EBG) of Tata Teleservices Limited, set up recently, is expecting to generate Rs600 crore in revenue in the first year of operation, its vice president and head Uttam Soni said. Soni said the division would generate three times the revenue in the next three years.

He said that the business unit, under the umbrella of ''eMpower'', was constantly devising new solutions for wireless email, remote network access, vehicle tracking system, telemetry, SMS gateway and transaction services.

The technologies have been developed using the CDMA platform as the company runs mobile phone operations using the CDMA technology, he said.
