Sitel India to recruit 1,000 more

Chennai: The Indian joint venture between the Tata Group and Sitel Corporation, USA, Sitel India, has decided to increase its head count by 1,000 people in one year''s time. The 50:50 JV company has around 3,000 employees on its rolls now.

According to chief executive officer, Safir Adeni, the company has set up its global delivery centre in Chennai at an outlay of Rs25 crore to serve its banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and telecom clients. The Chennai centre will be the fourth one for the company as it has three centres in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
