Humax to supply set-top boxes for Tata Sky DTH

Mumbai: Humax will supply the set-top boxes for the Tata Sky direct-to-home (DTH) service due in mid 2006. It will also provide after-sales service and support network for Tata Sky customers. Humax Co Ltd of Korea is one of the world's leading digital satellite set-top box manufacturers, exporting its products to over 90 countries.

Tata Sky Ltd, the joint venture between the Tata Group and Star TV group, has announced ambitious plans to build a high quality digital infrastructure in the country for its DTH service.

"Our DTH service will completely redefine the television viewing experience in India and our agreement with Humax takes us a step closer to our goal."
