Toshiba introduces 11 new laptops in India

Toshiba India, the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of Japan's No 1 laptop maker, Toshiba Corporation, today said it had introduced 11 new laptops models.

The new range of products, under its Satellite and Satellite Pro series, offers affordable quality and stylish designs, aimed at home users, and the small and medium business segments.

A mixed collection of Intel and AMD processors-based machines, the range comes in varying screen sizes of 14' and 15.6' inches. The new models are available in red, blue, maroon brown and carbon black, and are designed to appeal to price conscious buyers looking for quality laptops.

Announcing this launch, Sivakumar N, General Manager, Toshiba India's PC division, said, ''Toshiba PC Division is focused on the Indian market and intends to fortify its presence and product portfolio in the country. The strategy to expand our product lineup with these new models will now offer the customer a range of over 21 models to choose from. We understand that the Indian customer not only seeks affordable quality but also a variety that can be enabled only through design and technology. At Toshiba, we remain committed to Leading with Innovation to meet our consumer's needs.''
 
The affordable and portable Satellite and Satellite Pro C series laptops, packed with innovative, eco-conscious Toshiba advancements, along with a 14'' / 15.6'' diagonal high definition clear SuperView widescreen LED display and a built-in webcam, atre aimed at indiividual and small business users.

The Satellite Pro series is positioned towards small and medium business customers and hence comes with a host of security features and 3-year warranty as standard.

Dressed in a textured finish in carbon black, the new series yields a thinner impression and wider appearance; which sets it apart. The series price range starts as low as Rs26,490 along with gifts such as an optical mouse, a BlueTooth dongle and a backpack, worth Rs5,000. 

Toshiba's new Satellite L Seriesare equipped with the latest processors and standout features like high definition clear SuperView widescreen LED backlight displays featuring 16:9 aspect ratios, native 720p resolution and dedicated on select models that can also be used for digital entertainment.

The hard drives range from 320GB to 500GB and comes with data protection HDD capabilities along with a host of easy-to-use features, including built-in high-speed wireless connectivity, many expansion ports and the 2010 Intel Core and latest AMD processors. The Satellite L series starts with a price of Rs32,990 along with gifts such as an optical mouse and backpack worth Rs4,500.
