Norwegian telecom group Telenor, which started its India debut in December 2009 under the name Uninor, is planning an all-India roll-out of services this year.

Telenor, which has teamed up with Unitech Wireless, a unit of property developer Unitech Ltd, to launch telecom operations India, said it would expand services across the country this year itself.

Uninor started operations in the circles of Uttar Pradesh (West), Uttar Pradesh (East), Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh on 3 December and in Orissa on 22 December.

The company reported 1.2 million subscribers in eight circles at the end of December and has planned to offer additional services in addition to expanding its network.

Uninor managing director Stein-Erik Vellan said last month that the company was building its distribution network in the country to cover all 22 telecom circles.

Telenor expects Uninor to break even in India at the EBITDA level in three years and at the operational cash flow level in five years.
