Chennai: As a part of expanding its presence in the Middle East, the city based Srinivas Fine Arts Pvt Ltd, manufacturers of the Nightingale diaries has decided to open a shop in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.

While that is taking some time, Srinivas Fine Arts has decided to come out with a range of customised, premium diaries for the Gulf region. “This includes an array of 228 varieties, which would be the first and largest collection of its kind in the Gulf,” says V Balasubramanian, president.

Srinivas Fine Arts entered the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through a marketing tie-up with Al Gurg Stationery, one of the largest distributors and suppliers of stationery and office equipment brands.

The Al-Gurg Group operates primarily as a wholesale supplier to schools, offices and other stationery shops. According to Balasubramanian, the tie up has resulted in sales of $3 lakh last year and this year the target is $1 million.
