SpiceJet inaugurates new daily connections from Kolkata on Bengali New Year's day

SpiceJet has announced new daily connections from Kolkota for Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Guwahati and Bangalore at an inaugural fare of Rs500. The carrier said that passengers that wish to avail of this  inaugural offer will need to book tickets from 14 April 2008, which is the Bengali New Year's day. 

The carrier said that tickets will have to be booked through www.spicejet.com. All the new flights are daily services that will connect Kolkata directly to other destinations from 14 April onwards.

According to Samyukth Sridharan, chief commercial officer, ''We are delighted to come to Kolkata with great offerings for the Bengali New Year. In addition to an inaugural spicy fare of only Rs500, we are also connecting Kolkata to Mumbai and Guwahati. The enhanced schedule will also see additional flights to Bangalore, additional and direct connections to Guwahati and New Delhi.

The number of connections to and from the city has increased by 10 flights and these new flights will offer convenient connections from Kolkata.''

SpiceJet operates over 110 flights daily to 19 cities - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bagdogra, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Port Blair, Pune, Srinagar, Varanasi and Vizag.

SpiceJet operates a new generation fleet of 18 Boeing 737-800 / 737-900ER aircraft. It also claims to have the best on-time performance is amongst the best in India, at 82%, coupled with a Technical Dispatch Reliability of 99.6% making us an airline with least cancellations.
