Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd,a joint venture between Russia's Sistema and India's Shyam Group, will open 10 new 'MTS Mitra' stores across Mumbai. The company provides CDMA services under the `MTS' brand.

Acting as an alternate customer service point, Mitra stores offer service benefits such as new connections, recharge (both post- and pre-paid), bill payments, SIM replacement under one roof.

''This launch is in sync with our strategy to ''Think Global Act Local''.

Targeting semi-urban and rural locations, Mitra stores are designed to provide all MTS voice and data solutions to our customers backed by unmatched tariffs,'' said Ashoo Sethi, chief operating officer, Mumbai Circle, MTS India.

''Mumbai continues to be an important market for MTS and Mitra stores will further strengthen our presence in the region by taking our services closer to our customers,'' Sethi added.
