Sierra Atlantic wins Malaysia's largest port deal

Hyderabad: Offshoring enterprise applications leader Sierra Atlantic has won a $1-million IT deal from Malaysia's largest port — Port of Tanjung Pelapas (PTP) in Johor, for Oracle e-Business Suite implementation.

Sierra Atlantic will provide complete implementation and consulting services including project management, functional consulting, technical consulting and DBA services. It will implement the project along with ComLine (a partner), where Sierra Atlantic will take complete responsibility of implementing the Oracle eBusiness Suite and program management.

Speaking on the win, Yeshwanth Reddy, executive director, Sierra Atlantic said, "We are delighted with the development, since this project will give us the opportunity to deliver to the largest port of Malaysia, and also allow us an entry into the infrastructure and logistics industry in the Asia Pacific region."

Sierra Atlantic will implement Oracle Financials, Distribution, HRMS, CRM, eAM, Projects and Service platform modules, along with over 100 customizations. In addition to Oracle eBusiness Suite, it will also implement the management portal, business intelligence reporting and add-on modules. Sierra Atlantic will follow a two-phased project implementation approach and will have a dedicated team of 25 consultants in an onsite/offshore model, for the 14-month project duration.
