Samsung hopes to sell Rs1,200 crore of white goods during festive season

Samsung India hopes to generate sales of around Rs1,200 crore during the coming festival season. The company has announced its festival season offerings, which extend from 29 September to 10 November.

From 29 September to 10 October, the offers are available only in the eastern region, after which they will be applicable to the rest of the country. Rs35 crore worth of assured gifts are on offer for different categories of products during the festival promo.

During the promotion period, the company expects to sell 5.5 lakh colour TV sets, including 50,000 flat panel TVs. Samsung''s ''Easy View'' range of flat TVs — available in 21-inch and 29-inch screens, both in ultra/slim and regular — have been specially developed for the Indian market. The range is priced between Rs10,000 and Rs22,500. The company has also launched the ''quatro cooling'' high-end refrigerator and four semi-automatic washing machine models.
