Suzlon wins wind turbine order from Sweden's Triventus

Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy said today its overseas arm, Suzlon Wind Energy AS (SWEAS), has won an order from Swedish wind power developer and consultant Triventus AB.

The order, Suzlon's first in Sweden, consists of engineering, procurement and construction work for two 2.1 MW wind turbines, the company said in a statement.

Suzlon did not reveal financial details for the order.

SWEAS, based in Aarhus, Denmark, is heading Suzlon´s activities within the regions: Europe, Middle East, Africa as well as Central and South America.

It has signed contracts totalling 400 MW for the delivery of wind turbines to European markets such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Romania.

The 4.2 MW Assjo project, located 150 km from Goteborg and Stockholm, will be delivered by SWEAS through a contract that covers engineering, procurement and construction, Suzlon said.
