Reliance Capital net vaults over 3-fold to Rs302.43 crore in Q1 2007-08

Mumbai: Reliance Capital Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs302.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs94.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

Total Income has increased to Rs513.77 crore from Rs132.42 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

On a consolidated basis, the company recorded a net profit (after minority interest and share of profit of associates) of Rs325.26 crore for April-June 2007-08 compared to Rs113.03 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

Total income stood at Rs1,176.20 crore in the 2007-08 quarter from Rs356.19 crore last year.

Reliance Capital''s shares scaled a new 52-week high of Rs1,254 on the BSE after the company posted over 3-fold increase in its net profit during the June quarter results.
Later, the scrip of the Anil Ambani-controlled company closed 3.80 per cent up at Rs1244.85 on the BSE.
