Rado Watch to increase retail presence

Chennai: Luxury watch manufacturer Rado Watch Company Limited, Switzerland has plans to open 10 more retail outlets in India. Presently the company has five outlets. The new outlets would come up in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune.

Inaugurating the a retail shop in Chennai, Peter Kaeser, vice president, international sales said, that Rado watch sales in India have grown by 35 per cent in value. "Chennai is a strong market for Rado." The other top markets for Rado are China, Japan, Thailand, Germany, Swiss, Austria, Mexico and the US.

Actress and model Lisa Ray launched the company's new watch Sitra White priced at Rs1.45 lakh onwards. The ceramics watch bracelet is available with or without diamonds.

According to officials, the Indian luxury watch market is estimated to be around Rs700 crore and is growing at 40 per cent rate.
